CleanChoice Energy is “Best for the Environment and Workers”

CleanChoice Energy is proud to announce that we have been recognized as a “Best for the Environment” and “Best for Workers” company in B Lab’s annual “Best for the World” assessment. This would not have been possible without the many customers, employees and partners of CleanChoice Energy who help us make clean energy accessible to more people every day.
Over the past year, B Lab evaluated B Corps and found that CleanChoice Energy scored in the top 10% for both environmental impact and impact on workers. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. According to B Lab, B Corps that score in the top 10%, like CleanChoice Energy, set a gold standard for the positive impact businesses can make on nature and employees around the world.
CleanChoice Energy Founder & CEO Tom Matzzie believes that the awards recognize, “that we have been able to achieve the impact and focus on the mission that we wanted when we started the company.” In this video, Matzzie and fellow CleanChoice Energy employees chime in on what it means to be recognized as a Best for the World company.
To be named a “Best for the Environment” B Corp, CleanChoice Energy excelled in B Lab’s evaluation of our facilities, materials, emissions, and resource and energy use. B Lab also considered how our product is designed to solve an environmental issue, such as CleanChoice Energy’s provision of renewable energy.
Compensation, benefits, training, and ownership opportunities available to employees helped identify the company as “Best for Workers.” Additionally, CleanChoice Energy was recognized for excellence job flexibility, corporate culture, and worker health and safety practices.
