CleanChoice Teams Up with HRA to Save Lives and Protect Our Planet

The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), located in Washington, DC, has been saving and protecting animals for more than 150 years. With a people-focused, community-based approach, they treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Throughout their long history, they have advocated for a world where all animals and their families can thrive.  Each year, they touch the lives of more than 100,000 animals.

Chris Schindler, Vice President of Field Services at the Humane Rescue Alliance, has been rescuing animals for more than 20 years. He and his emergency rescue team have deployed to most of the extreme weather events of the last decade, including in 2017 when Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria consecutively hit areas across the southern United States. 

The emergency rescue team has saved hundreds of animals, personally reuniting many with their families after natural disasters. Moments like this are exactly what motivate Chris and his team to deploy at a moment’s notice when disasters strike.
