Voting season is officially upon us! On November 5, thousands of local, state, and federal elections will occur across the country. These elections will have massive implications for the environment, climate change, and clean energy. 

To help every climate-focused voter prepare ahead of Election Day, we’ve compiled all of the resources you need to get to know your candidates, plan your vote, do your part to help get out the vote, and learn more about the issues at stake:



Get to Know Your Candidates:


  • LCV Scorecard: See how the League of Conservation Voters rates your candidates based on their voting record for environmental legislation.

  • LCV Endorsements: Check out the candidates that received endorsements from the League of Conservation Voters this year.

  • Sierra Club Endorsements: Find out which Congressional candidates this environmental group has endorsed for the 2024 elections.

  • NRDC Endorsements: See which candidates are endorsed by the National Resources Defense Council this year.



Plan Your Vote:


  • Vote.org: Use this resource to register to vote, check your registration status, request an absentee ballot, see what’s on your ballot, get election reminders, and more.

  • Ballotpedia: Find out which candidates and ballot measures will be on your ballot this year, read information about each candidate such as their prior offices and endorsements, learn more about any ballot measures that will be on your ballot, and more.

  • Your guide to voting after a disaster: For anyone who has been affected by Hurricane Helene, check out this guide to help you plan your vote to ensure you’re able to cast your ballot on time.



Get Out the Vote:


  • Climate Changemakers: Check out “your home base to help elect climate champions up and down the ballot.”

  • Climate Voters Phone Banks: Make phone calls to voters in this phone banking event hosted by the DNC every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
